Mary Pilcher

Being a dancer, I have communicated through movement most of my life. When I discovered the path and teaching of yoga, I was hooked. Yoga has the potential to deepen the most important relationship we have in this lifetime, the one we create with ourselves. It encourages students to take a closer look at their bodies, minds and hearts, and provides us with an opportunity to create and find harmony between all three. My goal as a yoga teacher is to encourage people to trust in their inner strength and to help students create a sustainable yoga practice. My classes vary weekly, but the style is always a fluid and dynamic flow with a focus on alignment. I hope that I create a safe place that will empower students to make intelligent decisions on the mat. Our bodies and our needs change daily and it is my hope that you honor that by adding in what nourishes you and taking out what doesn’t. I completed my certifications and yoga training at Back Bay Yoga in Boston, MA under the teachings of Lynne Begier, Ryan Cunningham, and Caitlyn Graham Visconte. I have continued to develop my personal practice and teaching with advanced yoga studies through Back Bay Yoga, Boston Yoga Union and other programs and workshops around the county including Tim Kelleher, Leslie Kaminoff, Cora Wen, and Ally Hamilton. It is an honor and privilege to be at the seat of the teacher where I can share the information and love I have gathered over the years with others. I look forward to seeing you on the mat.

Emmie Blaze

Emmie’s love of dance and movement led her to yoga. As a young Mom, her yoga practice became the physical and creative outlet she craved. As her practiced deepened, Emmie could see the benefits of the mind-body connection in daily life. In 2022, she committed to a daily inversion practice as both a physical and mental challenge. This devotion and consistency has provided a sense of peace, empowerment and joy in the chaos of life.

Emmie lives in Daphne with her four favorite tiny humans. Beyond her yoga practice, she loves to run, strength train, choreograph and cook for her family. In her daily life, yoga inspires Emmie to live with equal parts grit and grace. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Birmingham-Southern College and is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor.

Michelle Taylor

Michelle began her yoga practice more than 20 years ago when she went to a book store to study dreams and found an asana book. Her personal practice began through self study of the breath, body and asana’s at home. Ten years later, she met someone who encouraged her to get more serious about her practice. Michelle began a studio practice with Soul Shine Yoga where she learned a flow practice and then became a 200 hr RYT certified yoga teacher.  In the fall of 2022, Michelle obtained her 300-hour certification with Jennifer Guthrie, owner of Glow Yoga in Gulf Shores. Michelle is passionate about the study of dreams and offers intuitive readings and dream work through the Hive.

She lives in Fairhope with her son Christopher & daughter Joan.

Katie Chatham

My personal journey with yoga began in high school when a friend asked me to join her for a hot yoga class. From that moment on, I was drawn to the deep peace and connection the practice cultivates within. During college, I decided to take my practice further by completing my 200-hour YTT at Dancing Dogs Yoga Studio in Savannah, Georgia.

Yoga is a natural complement to my art practice, overlapping and intertwining in ways that feel both inspiring and deeply meaningful. To me, it is a way to connect to the core of who we are and the divine within, meeting us exactly where we are in each season of life. As my life and body continue to change, yoga remains a steady source of support—both spiritually and physically.

I live and work in Daphne, Alabama, and spend my time painting, creating, and connecting with nature and loved ones.

Five years back, I ventured into the world of yoga. Initially, it was merely a means to keep in shape and workout, but gradually it evolved into something much deeper, touching my spiritual side and aiding me in navigating daily challenges.

The serenity and calmness that yoga offers have become a cherished part of my life. I aspire to extend this gift to others. I firmly believe that the more you invest in yoga, the more it enriches your being, and this is the wisdom I aim to impart to my students. When I'm not engrossed in yoga, I am at home with my dear husband, Gary, and our wonderful children, Trey and Lilly. Namaste.
